Studio Production - Final Idea Research Part 2

After coming up with the concept of my idea, I took into account something that teacher Helen mentioned me, which was to have research and facts behind my games. The idea was not to just throw some games into the show because they were funny or complicated, but because there was something that linked them all and gave them a purpose of why they should be on the show. At this stage I had to think of a way to link all my games and decide which type of games I wanted to go with in the end. It took me a while to get an idea of what exactly was that I wanted to do, but in the end my idea was to use the human senses to give the show a "sense."

My idea was based on creating a 30 min show based on 5 different games, in which each one was to test the senses:

Sight

Smell

Hearing

Taste

Touch

After deciding what to base my game on, I chose my games and started doing research on them as well. Here the example on one of my games

Chareyes Test

This game, as the name suggests, is a combination between Charades and an eye test. The concept of this game to have some sort of charades where both teams had their own time and whoever scored more in the allotted time, wins. The research behind this was a way of testing the sight on people for real and I ended finding that the most effective way, which is what is most commonly used, is the Snellen chart for adults:

With that said, the concept of the game got based on seeing a word in 20/30 from the appropriate distance to play charades and at the same time test the eye sight.
